Welcome to Serv1sland (serv1sland.com). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and window cleaning services (“Services”). By accessing our website or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our website or Services.
“User,” “you,” and “your” refer to the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable. “Serv1sland,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to Serv1sland.
Serv1sland provides professional window cleaning services for residential and commercial properties. The specific scope of services, including pricing and scheduling, will be agreed upon through a quotation or service agreement. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason not prohibited by law.
All quotations provided by Serv1sland are estimates based on the information provided by you. The final price may be subject to change if the scope of work differs from the initial assessment (e.g., undisclosed conditions, additional windows, accessibility issues not previously disclosed). Quotations are typically valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Acceptance of a quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Appointments for our Services can be booked through our website, by phone, or by email. We will confirm your booking and scheduled time. You agree to provide safe and unobstructed access to the areas requiring service. If we cannot access the property or windows as agreed due to customer oversight (e.g., locked gates, unrestrained pets, unforeseen obstacles not communicated), a cancellation or rescheduling fee may apply.
Payment for Services is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept credit card, e-transfer and cash. For commercial clients, specific payment terms may be outlined in a service agreement. Overdue invoices may be subject to interest charges at a rate compliant with Ontario law, or a late payment fee as specified in your service agreement or invoice.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Customer Cancellation/Reschedule: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than the required notice may be subject to a fee of 25% of the quoted service.
Serv1sland Reschedule: Serv1sland reserves the right to reschedule services due to inclement weather, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date.
As a customer, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information when requesting a quote or booking services.
Ensure our team has safe and clear access to all windows to be cleaned. This includes removing obstructions (e.g., furniture, fragile items from window sills), securing pets, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Inform us of any fragile items, pre-existing damage (e.g., cracked glass, loose frames, damaged screens), or specific concerns before work commences. Serv1sland is not responsible for damage to items not removed or secured by the customer.
While we strive for perfection, Serv1sland is not liable for:
Pre-existing damage to windows, frames, screens, sills, or surrounding areas. We will take reasonable care but cannot be held responsible for damage due to aged, deteriorated, or improperly installed/maintained windows or components.
Damage resulting from improper window installation, faulty construction, or deteriorated window components.
Removal of stubborn stains such as hard water deposits, paint, adhesives, cement, or scratches unless specifically agreed upon as part of the service (which may incur additional charges and will be performed at the customer’s risk after consultation).
Inability to complete service due to inaccessible windows or unsafe conditions not previously disclosed or rectified by the customer.
Any damage to window tinting or films not disclosed or not professionally installed. We use standard, safe cleaning solutions and methods.
Your satisfaction is important to us. We aim to provide a high-quality service. If you are not satisfied with our Services, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion, providing specific details and, if possible, photos of the areas of concern. We will discuss your concerns and, if the issue is due to a deficiency in our service, we will make reasonable efforts to rectify the situation, which may include re-cleaning the specific areas of concern at no additional charge. This guarantee applies only to issues directly related to the quality of our cleaning service and does not cover limitations mentioned in Section 7.
All content on serv1sland.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Serv1sland or its content suppliers and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, Serv1sland shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
In no event shall Serv1sland’s aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services exceed the amount paid by you to Serv1sland for the specific service giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Serv1sland, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with (i) your breach of these Terms, (ii) your use of the Services, or (iii) your violation of any applicable laws or regulations or the rights of any third party.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario to resolve any legal matter arising from the Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Effective Date.” Your continued use of our website or Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service agreement or quotation provided to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Serv1sland regarding your use of our website and Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral.
